| Ofsted Inspection- Outstanding Fox School is officially an Outstanding school. The full report has been emailed to parents and is on the school web site. If parents do not have internet access we are able to print at hard copy. Please ask in the office .For those who have not read the report yet, the opening paragraphs reads: ‘Fox is an outstanding school with considerable capacity for sustained
improvement. Fox staff are absolutely delighted with the overall judgment and would like to thank parents and carers for their positive feedback through the questionnaire. Unfortunately at least 30 questionnaires were not taken into account, because they arrived past the deadline on the first day. Without sounding un grateful, the school disagreed with the judgment made about the Foundation Stage. We and the Local authority, strongly believe the Fox Foundation Stage to be outstanding. We were not given this grade because of a very contentious and disputable point. |

| Anti Bullying Week Children at Fox will be participating in a number of workshops/activities based around bullying. Monday’s assembly focus will be on bullying and how to deal with bullies. On Friday, we are asking all the children to wear blue; as a sign that we are opposed to all forms of bullying at Fox. |

| Ghost Forest – Trafalgar Square
If you have a free moment in your day please visit Trafalgar Square and be aware. Ghost Forest is an original and ambitious project by Angela Palmer that seeks to raise public awareness of the connections between deforestation and climate change. It involves taking a series of 10 rainforest tree stumps, most with their buttress roots still attached, from a regulated, commercially logged tropical rainforest in Ghana. The tree stumps will be presented as a “ghost forest” firstly in Trafalgar Square in London, and then in Copenhagen to coincide with the UN Cop15 Climate Change Conference in December. Ghost Forest Art Installation. Trafalgar Square, London. U.K. 16-22 November 2009 |

| Primary Sports Festival Fox children once again were amongst the medals at the Local Authority Sports Festival. The schools football team came 3rd place, the hockey team 2nd place and the rugby team 1st place. Over 20 schools took part in this festival and the standards were very high. Once again the Fox children were perfectly behaved and a credit to the school. |
