Sorry for late newsletter
The school has changed its electricity providers. As a result, the meters were changed on Friday which resulted in no ICT access for the day and therefore no newsletter.

Winter weather – coats please
It seems that winter is upon us. We like the children to be outside as much as possible, even with a light drizzle. However, if the children do not bring water-proof coats we cannot send them outside. Please ensure your child has a waterproof coat in school throughout the whole winter.

Half Term Sports camp
Fox is proposing to run a holiday sports camp over October half term. Mr Millet will be organizing the camp and some activities will include : football, archery, art, ICT, tennis, basketball and dance. The children will take part in an activity for 1 hour and then move onto the next activity. Over the course of the day, they will participate in four structured activities and one free play time activity.
The sessions will run from 9am – 3pm. We are also proposing a breakfast club facility from 8am and an after school facility from 3.30 -5.00pm . The cost will be as follows:
9- 3.30pm – £20 per day ( £80 for full week)
Half day (9-12 or 1-3) - £10 per session
Breakfast club : an additional £2 per session.
After School Club : £3 per session
Children will be expected to provide their own packed lunch and snacks.
If parents/carers are interested, please can you contact the office this week. If there is sufficient interest, then we will send out booking forms next week.

Harvest- Eco harvest
Thank you to all parents and carers for providing food for the harvest festival. We collected a large amount of food, which was donated to the Upper Room charity. The charity distributes the food to less fortunate people. The school celebrated harvest with a whole school assembly whereby each contributed some work to the assembly. The assembly focused on locally sourced food and the effects air miles has on the environment.

House Captains
Well done to the following Year 6 children who were voted in as House Captains:
Desert Fox : Milo and Natalie
Arctic Fox : Maharshi and Milli
Red Fox : Laith and Olivia
Silver Fox : Rashaun and Lauren

E-safety – useful links
Our children have been born into the digital age. They use computers, mobile phones, video game consoles etc., as part of their everyday lives. However, they may lack the life skills/experiences of adults to make the right choices when using this technology. It is vital that we teach them about internet safety at school, but also that you are aware of the dangers at home. Please find some useful links to help you:

Text messaging
We have started texting parents if their children are absent from school and we haven't had a reason reported. Please be aware, that if your child is late, they must be registered in the late book or reported to the office. This is to ensure that they get a mark in the register and you will not receive a text.

Parent Governor Election
Congratulations to Nicholas Vester (Scarlett 3R) and Stephanie Lvovich (Hannah 4RM) who were elected as parent governors.

Have a lovely week: Paul Cotter, Emma Madden and all the staff at Fox.
